Frequently asked questions

We will work with you to find the course that best fits your needs depending on your genre (the kinds of documents your organisation writes most often), your industry and your team’s writing skills level.

We limit the participant numbers for corporate workshops to 10 people. Training in small groups means we can provide personalised feedback to everyone, participants can ask questions and we can have insightful group discussions about how the writing tools will work in your organisation.

Our 1-day Essentials workshops are ideal if you are looking for a short course that introduces the key plain English concepts or if you want to reinforce plain English skills already in your organisation. Our 2-day Baseline workshops offers more in-depth training with comprehensive coverage of plain English principles and techniques. Participants get the opportunity to practise their new skills and receive feedback from their trainer so they leave feeling confident to apply a plain English approach in all their writing.

No. You can only book our public training workshops online. We deliver our corporate training under a service agreement. Please consider the options above and contact us to secure your preferred training types, dates, mode of delivery and participant numbers, and we’ll send you a quote.

Yes, but we recommend contacting us as soon as possible. Our training calendar usually books out a few months in advance so it’s best to contact us well in advance to secure your preferred dates.

We ask for writing samples that show a participant’s typical day-to-day writing output and style. Ideally, samples should reflect the type of writing covered in your workshop, such as reports, briefs, board papers etc. Any sensitive or identifying content should be removed beforehand.

Yes. Our corporate training is delivered virtually – on Zoom or Teams – or we can do a face-to-face session at your workplace. We don’t offer a hybrid option so if you choose the face-to-face option, all participants will need to be at the same location.
