Experience

Stephen is part of our highly experienced training team, delivering 2-day Baseline workshops for our Getting to the point® programs.

He has been preparing, delivering and assessing English language and writing skills training for close to 20 years.

Before joining the Foundation, Stephen worked at various education and training providers, including the University of Technology Sydney where he helped administer the International English Language Testing System.

He has also taught English to both adults and children in South Korea.

While studying for his BA, Stephen held a position at the Reserve Bank of Australia. Here he drafted reports, researched financial issues and gave presentations on financial regulation.

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Management Institute of Australia)
  • Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (International House)
  • Certificate in IFA Introduction to the Managed Investments Industry Course (Securities Institute Education)
  • Diploma in Secondary Education (Australian Catholic University)
  • Bachelor of Arts (Honours) (University of Sydney)

Activities

Stephen taught English to secondary students in the Republic of Kiribati as part of the Australian Government’s Australian Volunteers International program.
