Newsletter competition terms and conditions

We’re celebrating the launch of our new website with a competition!

Each month, the prize for this competition is:

The discount is valid for a purchase made up to 90 days after we notify you. You’ll need to buy your spot in a workshop, but you can attend later if you need to. 

 

How to enter

Use the sign-up button at the bottom of our website to sign up for our newsletter and you will be automatically entered into the draw.
Anyone fitting all the following criteria can enter:

  • has a valid email address
  • over 18
  • not employed by Plain English Foundation or any EdventureCo subsidiary.

This competition runs from 1 January to 31 May 2023 and is limited to 1 entry per person.

If we suspect that you have not followed these terms and conditions, we will disqualify your email address from the prize draw. For example, we will disqualify people who sign up for the newsletter using multiple email addresses.

 

How we choose a winner

We will randomly select a winner each month, drawing from the email sign-ups for our newsletter that month.


For example, we will draw from the names submitted during January on the first business day of February. We do not have to accept late email sign-ups as entries.

We use wheelofnames.com to draw the winner.

All our decisions are final.

If we draw your name, we will email you to confirm that you’ve won. We’ll do this within 48 hours of the 1st business day of the month. For example, if you win March’s draw, we will email you by Wednesday 5 April.

 

How to claim your prize

To claim your prize, please contact us to confirm your details. You can reply to our notification email or contact us on mail@plainenglishfoundation.com or 1300 691 885.

We’ll need your full name and email address to enrol you in your discounted public Plain English Essentials workshop. The email address must be the same one you used to sign up for our newsletter.

We’ll also need your mailing address to send you your copy of Writing at Work.

We don’t collect any other information about you. But we will store your name and email address in our newsletter and public workshop databases. We will also use your full name to advertise the competition.

If you win but do not reply to our email after 90 days, you forfeit the prize. We will then redraw using other entrants from that month. We can also choose to redraw if the winner does not meet the competition terms and conditions.
