By participating in the daily competition, participants indicate their full and unconditional agreement to these terms and conditions.

What the prize includes

The prize for the daily competition is a free Plain English Essentials workshop on a public schedule worth $995.00 excluding GST.

The prize includes the workshop fee and any materials provided during the workshop.

The prize does not cover any additional costs, such as travel, accommodation, meals, or any other expenses not explicitly mentioned as part of the prize.

How to enter

Participants can enter the competition QR code, submitting their name and email address on the competition website or submitting a business card to stand staff.

Only one entry per person per day will be accepted. Multiple entries from the same person on the same day will be disqualified.

The daily competition is open to individuals who are legal residents of Australia and are at least 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

Employees, representatives, or agents of the PEF, ENS, EdventureCo or Lumify, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, and immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the competition.

The competition will run daily from 8 August to 10 August.

Each competition day begins at 10 am local time and ends at 5 pm local time.

How we choose a winner

The winner will be randomly selected from the eligible entries received during the respective competition day.

The winner will be notified within 7 days of the competition day via the contact information provided during entry.

If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of the initial notification, or if the winner fails to comply with these terms and conditions, an alternate winner may be selected at the organiser’s discretion.

How to claim your prize

The winner must book and attend the workshop before 30 December 2023.

Workshop availability is subject to course schedules, availability and any prerequisites specified by the workshop provider.

The winner is responsible for making their own travel, accommodation, and other necessary arrangements to attend the workshop.

The workshop provider reserves the right to modify or cancel the workshop, in which case the winner will be provided with a reasonable alternative workshop.

If the winner is unable to attend the workshop within the specified timeframe, the prize may be forfeited at the organiser’s discretion, and an alternate winner may be selected.

What else you need to know

The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.

The organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these terms and conditions or engages in fraudulent or unethical behaviour.

By entering the competition, participants grant the organiser the right to use their name, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes without additional compensation.

The organiser’s decision regarding any aspect of the competition, including the selection of the winner, is final and binding.

The organiser assumes no responsibility for any technical malfunctions, errors, or delays that may occur during the competition period.

What we do with your personal information

Any personal information provided by participants will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition, and delivering the prize and will include access to the Plain English foundation quarterly newsletter and marketing.

The organiser will handle participants’ personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and its privacy policy.
