Tom Wadsworth

A passage is not plain English – still less is it good English – if we are obliged to read it twice to find out what it means.

Dorothy L Sayers

Tom’s passion for writing began with a humble travel blog, where the experiences he shared evoked emotional responses from readers. Since then, Tom has written several short stories that have been published in literary magazines and anthologies.

Much like his stories, Tom sees plain language as being about transplanting your ideas into the minds of your readers effectively. To do this we need clear and precise communication that instructs, educates and inspires. Plain language is easier to understand which leads to better decision-making, increased productivity and more inclusive workplaces.

Before joining our team, Tom worked in the travel industry, training people in the Asia-Pacific. In this role, he used his clear and precise communication skills to train employees who spoke English as an extra language.
