Dr Josh Meyer




Josh is an experienced member of our training team.

He is passionate about language and learning and has been teaching English and writing skills for more than a decade. He has also designed engaging learning experiences for adult learners from a range of professional backgrounds.

Before joining the Foundation, Josh was an academic at Western Sydney University, where he lectured in written communication, philosophy and literature.

He has also worked as the editor of an academic journal, and has published a number of papers, book chapters and nonfiction.

Professional qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (CBD College)
  • Doctor of Philosophy in English (Western Sydney University)
  • Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English (University of New South Wales)


Josh has presented papers at many international conferences. He has also published several articles and chapters on language and literature, and has helped refugee students to write and publish their stories.

In his spare time, Josh writes poetry and fiction.
