We evaluate a range of documents to give you a comprehensive writing health check. Our Verbumetric™ evaluation gives you objective evidence on the strengths and weaknesses of your writing. Our expert plain language editors use our plain English performance indicators to give you a detailed report with research-based recommendations and examples of how to improve your writing. This is our premium document assessment service. It can help you decide about staff training, as it identifies priorities to better your organisation's writing and establishes a baseline against which you can measure improvements. Client story

Our client commissioned a Verbumetric™ evaluation to assess the need for plain English training, following client and stakeholder feedback and staff anecdotal advice that writing skills were considered poor. When we presented our findings, the entire Executive, including the CEO, immediately agreed to attend a pilot Getting to the point workshop. This was followed by a full rollout of our training program to more than 250 staff. Two years later, we ran another Verbumetric™ evaluation to assess their writing skills following our training. The results were very strong, with 75% of writing structure indicators meeting the plain English benchmark, and all expression benchmarks improving by 50%.
